ben roethlisberger broken nose

Ben Roethlisberger broke his nose on a sack by Baltimore's Haloti Ngata Sunday night. On Monday, Roethlisberger will undergo surgery to fix it.

Roethlisberger will still be available to play when the Steelers face the Bengals this Sunday.

The Steelers initially announced that Roethlisberger had suffered a bloody nose, but in addition to bleeding profusely, Roethlisberger's nose looked to be crooked when he came to the Steelers sideline.

After the game, Roethlisberger confirmed that his nose was broken, saying "a big arm got in and hit me and broke it." Big Ben entered the game already hurt, playing despite a broken foot.

Meineke Car Care Bowl 2010 "Clemson Tigers vs. South Florida Bulls"

The Meineke Car Care Bowl, which may feature South Florida and Clemson. The first two dominoes of the ACC’s bowl selection process have fallen.

Virginia Tech’s win against Florida State in the league championship game in Charlotte on Saturday will send the Hokies to the Orange Bowl on Jan. 3 to play either Big East champion UConn or Stanford. The Seminoles are headed for Atlanta and the Chick-Fil-A Bowl to play an SEC opponent.

State has scheduled an 8:45 conference call tonight to discuss its bowl situation.

All indications are that the Wolfpack will be the ACC’s representative in the game and will be matched against West Virginia of the Big East. Notre Dame was the other team under consideration, but according to a source in South Bend, Champs Sports officials couldn’t justify taking the 7-5 Irish over a nine-win Mountaineers team.
The Champs Sports Bowl has the option of taking Notre Dame over a Big East team once during that four-year period.

Ron Santo

Ron Santo

Ronald Edward Santo (February 25, 1940 – December 2, 2010) was an American Major League Baseball third baseman.[1][2] He spent 14 years in the Major Leagues, from 1960 to 1974, mainly as the regular third baseman for the Chicago Cubs. Santo was a productive player despite suffering from diabetes, a condition which he carefully concealed for most of his career; it eventually necessitated the amputation of both of his legs.

Celebration Florida

Celebration Florida:Police are investigating the first-ever homicide in a Disney-developed town in central Florida, officials said.
Osceola County police responded Monday to an emergency call at an apartment building in Celebration, Florida, after speaking with a neighbor who said she found 58-year-old Matteo Giovanditto dead in his home, according to police spokeswoman Twis Lizasuain.
Osceola police classified the death as a homicide, based on evidence found at the scene, according to a police statement. The victim’s car was found Tuesday in Kissimmee, Florida, about 10 miles east of Celebration.
It is the first murder in the picture-perfect town’s 14-year history. Celebration’s manicured lawns and classic movie theaters have drawn comparisons to the 1998 fictional drama, “Pleasantville,” in which two teens find themselves trapped in a 1950s-style television show.
The town is located five miles south of Walt Disney World, among the world’s largest and most visited resorts.
